The app has no user accounts and is not intended for processing patient data. We do not collect names, health data, contacts, location, photos or advertising identifiers. The visit plan, favourites and downloaded animations are stored only on the device.
To improve the library, the app sends anonymous events: app launch, animation opened and watched (animation identifier), purchase screen shown, purchase started and completed, form sent. Each event carries only the platform (iOS or Android), interface language and app version. No device or user identifier is attached, so events cannot be linked to a person. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The DentCoach Explain website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views, referral sources and website performance. Measurement does not use cookies, localStorage or identifiers to track people across websites. We do not link these statistics to purchases, messages or app data. Campaign parameters in store links identify the campaign source without a personal identifier. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in evaluating website operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never receive card details. To check whether a subscription is active, the app sends the store transaction identifier to our server, which verifies it with the Apple or Google API and returns a signed access token stored on the device. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you send a message, we store its content, type (contact or animation request), platform, language, app version and, optionally, the email address you provide so we can reply. Please do not include patient data. The message is stored on our server and a copy is emailed to the controller's mailbox. Both copies are kept for up to 24 months (the email copy is deleted manually within the same period), or less if you ask us to delete them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our server runs on Cloudflare. Your IP address is processed to protect the service from abuse (rate limiting). We do not store it with statistics or messages and do not link it to them. Cloudflare may keep it in technical server logs for up to 7 days for diagnostics and security.
Cloudflare, Inc. (server, file storage, statistics, form), Resend (email notification about a new message), Apple and Google (subscription sales under their own terms). Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office). For data requests write to klabocha@me.com.
The app is for patient education. It does not diagnose and does not replace a consultation with a dentist.
